Sarah Lang lives and works in East London and is inspired by her local environment and experience. She works in all media with a focus on painting and drawing.

Currently she is working on a body of work based around her local park. The area around King Edward Memorial Park has changed so much since it was opened by King George Vth in 1907 and she is fascinated by the idea of what a time traveller from that date would find familiar and unfamiliar if they were to find themselves in the park today.

Apart from working as an artist Sarah is also a FA licensed football coach and coaches at Limehouse Laces – a local girls club.  The other project she is working on at the moment is exploring the wider ideas of femininity and sport as well hers and the girls’ personal experience of being involved in sport.
